Can I bring my own canoe or kayak?
Absolutely! Guests are welcome to bring their own boats and kayaks. Our kayak/canoe launch provides easy access to Lake Roxanne.
What types of camping does Blue Haven offer?
Blue Haven offers RV camping with full hookups and designated tent camping sites. Select tent sites offer water and electricity. We primarily serve seasonal campers but also welcome transient guests.
Does Blue Haven have waterfront access?
Yes! The campground offers direct access to the North Branch of the Great Chazy River for fishing and swimming. Lake Roxanne borders the campground and is perfect for fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. Please note: swimming and motorized boats are not permitted in Lake Roxanne.
Is Blue Haven open year-round?
Blue Haven operates seasonally from May 1 through October 15. During winter months, the office is closed to foot traffic, though management may be available by appointment.
Can I bring my golf cart?
Yes! Guests may bring golf carts. Proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license are required for operation.
Is Blue Haven close to Lake Champlain?
Yes! Blue Haven is located within the Lake Champlain watershed and provides convenient access to the lake for boating, fishing, sightseeing, and regional exploration.
Is Blue Haven family-friendly?
Absolutely! Blue Haven is a family-friendly campground with a swimming pool, playground, basketball court, shuffleboard, horseshoe pits, and organized activities run by our volunteer committee.
Are pets allowed?
Yes! Pets are welcome but must be leashed at all times. Guests must clean up after their pets. Certain aggressive breeds are not permitted.
Is Blue Haven good for exploring Upstate New York?
Definitely! Blue Haven offers a peaceful, rural setting while remaining within easy driving distance of Lake Champlain, Lake Placid, Montreal, and other northern New York attractions – perfect for extended stays and regional exploration.
